Newspaper clippings, vintage labels, copies out of rare books - mixture of messages. Extinct, suggestive, dominance, primal, exotic. This piece took almost a year to make. A core of hard foam, carved with cloth and fiberboard to make the veins and ridges. Then papier-mache'. The images are clear coated one at a time.
